Surely you will find strongest (of) the people (in) enmity to those who believe, the Jews and those who (are) polytheists; and surely you will find nearest of them (in) affection to those who believe, those who say, "We (are) Christians." That (is) because among them (are) priests and monks, and that they (are) not arrogant.
Thou wilt surely find that, of all people, the most hostile to those who believe [in this divine writ] are the Jews as well as those who are bent on ascribing divinity to aught beside God; and thou wilt surely find that, of all people, they who say, "Behold, we are Christians," come closest to feeling affection for those who believe [in this divine writ]: this is so because there are priests and monks among them, and because these are not given to arrogance
Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud
Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant
You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant.
You [Prophet] are sure to find that the most hostile to the believers are the Jews as well as those who are bent on ascribing partners to God. While, you will find that the nearest in affection towards the believers are those who say, "We are Christians," because there are priests and monks among them, and because these people are not given to arrogance.
You will find that the bitterest in their enmity to the faithful are the Jews and the polytheists; the nearest in affection to them are those who say, We are Christians. That is because there are priests and monks among them; and because they are free from pride
Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists, and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly
Truly, thou wilt find the hardest of humanity in enmity to those who believed are the Jews and those who have ascribed partners with God. And, certainly, thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believed are those who said: We are Christians. That is because among them are priests and monks and they grow not arrogant.
You will find the most violently hostile people towards those who believe are the Jews and those who associate [others with God]; while you will find the most affectionate of them towards those who believe, are those who say: "We are Christians." That is because some of them are priests and monks; they do not behave so proudly.
Surely, you will find most hostile among people in enmity to those who have believed (Muslims) are the Jews, and those who set partners with Allah. Surely you will find nearest of them in love to those who have believed (Muslims) are those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, who don’t take pride.
Thou wilt surely find the most hostile of men toward those who believe to be the Jews and those who ascribe partners unto God. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection toward those who believe to be those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant
Verily, you will find the harshest among men in enmity to those who have Believed, Al-Yahood and those who have set partners (to Allah). And verily, you will find the nearest in love to those who have Believed, those who said: “We are Nasaaraa.” That is because amongst them are Qisseesun and Ruhban and because they do not commit pride in arrogance
You will find the most violent in enmity to the believers are the Jews and the pagans (pagan Arabs); and nearest in affection to the believers are those who say: "We are Christians." That is because among them there are men that are priests and monks, who do not behave arrogantly
You will find that the people most hostile towards the believers are the Jews and the polytheists. And you will find that the nearest in affection towards the believers are those who say, 'We are Christians.' That is because among them are priests and monks, and they are not arrogant
Indeed you will definitely find the most serious of mankind in enmity to (the ones) who have believed are the Jews and the ones who have associated; (i.e., associated others with Allah) and indeed you will definitely find the nearest of them in affection to the ones who have believed are the ones who say, "Surely we are Nasara." (Christians) That is for that among them are priests and monks, and they do not wax proud
You find Jews and pagans among the worst of the enemies of the believers. (Of the non-believers) nearest to them (the believers) in affection you find those who say, "We are Christians," for among them are the priests and monks who are not proud
And you will certainly find that the people most hostile against the believers are the Jews and the ones who ascribe partners to Allah. You will certainly find that the closest of them in friendship with the believers are those who say, .We are Christians.That is because among them there are priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant
(O Prophet) You will find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to the believers to be the Jews and the idolaters. Closer in affection to the believers you will find those who say, "We are Christians." That is because there are among them priests and monks and because they are not given to arrogance
You will find that, compared to any other people, the Jews and the idolaters are definitely more hostile towards the believers. You will (also) find that for the believers, (the least hostile and) the friendliest people are those who say, "We are Christians". This is because, among them are many learned persons, monks and others who are not proud
Verily, you will find the Jews and polytheists among the strongest men in opposition to the Believers; And you will find nearest in love to the believers those who say, "We are Christians:" Because among these (people) are men devoted to learning and men who have given up the world, and they are not haughty
You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant
You will find the people with greatest animosity towards those who believe are the Jews and those who set up partners; and you will find the closest in affection to those who believe are those who said: "We are Nazarenes;" that is because amongst them are Priests and Monks, and they are not arrogant
You [Prophet] are sure to find that the most hostile to the believers are the Jews and those who associate other deities with God; you are sure to find that the closest in affection towards the believers are those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ for there are among them people devoted to learning and ascetics. These people are not given to arrogance
Surely thou wilt find the Jews and those who associate the bitterest of mankind in enmity toward those who believe. And surely thou wilt find the highest in affection to those who believe those who say: we are Nazarenes. That is, because among them are divines and monks and because they are not stiff-necked
You will find the Jews and idolaters most excessive in hatred of those who believe; and the closest in love to the faithful are the people who say: "We are the followers of Christ," because there are priests and monks among them, and they are not arrogant
You will find that the people most hostile to those who have iman are the Jews and the idolaters. You will find the people most affectionate to those who have iman are those who say, ´We are Christians.´ That is because some of them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.
You will most certainly find that, of the people (of unbelief), the most violent in enmity toward the believers (the Muslims) are the Jews and those who associate partners with God. And you will most certainly find that the nearest of them in affection to the believers (the Muslims) are those who say: "We are Christians." This is because there are among them (the Christians) hermits (who devote themselves to worshipping God, especially at night) and monks (who struggle with their carnal selves, ever fearful of God’s punishment), and because they are not arrogant
Surely You will find the most hostile of all people towards the faithful to be the Jews and the polytheists, and surely you will find the nearest of them in affection to the faithful to be those who say ‘We are Christians.’ That is because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant
Thee will surely find that the strongest in enmity against those who believe are the Jews and the idolaters (Pagans); and you will find the nearest in love to those who believe to be those who say, "We are Christians". That is because there are
You shall find that the people with most animosity for those who believed are the Jewish and those who associated (polytheists), and you shall find nearest of them to friendship for those who believed are those who say we are Christians, that is because among them are priests and monks, and they are not arrogant
Strongest among people in opposition to the believers will you find among the Jews and pagans. And alongside those believers in devotion will you find those who say, “We are Christians,” because among these are those devoted to learning and those who are in service to humanity, and they are not arrogant. 82 (End of Part 6
Of all the people, you will find the most hostile to the believers are some Jews and idolaters, and you will find the nearest and most affectionate to the believers are those who say, “We are Christians” because among them are priests and monks who are not arrogant.
Of all men you will find the Jews and those who associate others with Allah in His divinity to be the most hostile to those who believe; and you will surely find that of ail people they who say: ´We are Christians´, are closest to feeling affection for those who believe. This is because there are worshipful priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant

You shall surely find the Jews and polytheist the bitterest enemies of Muslims, and surely you shall find the nearest in friendship to Muslims, those who used to say, "we are Christians." That is because among them are men of learning and monks and they are not proud.
You will find that the worst enemies of the believers are the Jews and the idol worshipers. And you will find that the closest people in friendship to the believers are those who say, "We are Christian." This is because they have priests and monks among them, and they are not arrogant.
You will find that the most people in enmity to the believers are the Jews and idolaters, and that the nearest in affection to the believers are those who say: 'We are Nazarenes. ' That is because amongst them there are priests and monks; and because they are not proud
Thou wilt certainly find the most violent of people in enmity against the believers to be the Jews and the idolaters; and thou wilt find the nearest in friendship to the believers to be those who say, We are Christians. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not proud
You will find (E) the strongest people (with) animosity to those who believed (are) the Jews, and those who shared/made partners (with God), and you will find (E) their nearest/closest love/friendship , to those who believed, (are) those who said: "That we are Christian ." That (is) with that from them (are) priests/clergymen and monks, and that they are not being arrogant
You will find that the most hostile enemies of Islam are the Jews and the idol worshippers! As to those who call themselves “Christians”, they are friendlier in account of their lack of [false] pride, the institution of the monastery and the existence of pious scholars among them
You will certainly find the Jews and the polytheists as the greatest enemies of the Muslims; and you will find the closest in friendship to the Muslims those who said, “We are Christians”; that is because scholars and monks are among them, and they are not proud
Thou shalt certainly find the Jews and those who associate partners with ALLAH to be the most vehement of men in enmity against the believers. And thou shalt assuredly find those who say, `We are Christians,' to be the nearest of them in friendship to the believers. That is because among them are savants and monks and because they are not arrogant
You will indeed find the Jews and the polytheists the bitterest of people in their enmity against the Muslims, and the closest in love and affection for the Muslims you will find those who say: ‘Indeed, we are Nazarenes (Christians).’ This is because amongst them are savants (i.e., scholars of Shariah) as well as monks (i.e., ascetic worshippers) and (moreover) they are not given to arrogance
You shall certainly find the Jews and those who associate partners with Allah the most vehement of the people in enmity against those who believe, and you shall certainly find those who say, `We are Christians,' the nearest in friendship towards those who believe. That is so because there are savants and monks amongst them and because they are not haughty
Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikoon (see V.2:105), and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud
Thou wilt surely find the most hostile of men to the believers are the Jews and the idolaters; and thou wilt surely find the nearest of them in love to the believers are those who say 'We are Christians'; that, because some of them are priests and monks, and they wax not proud
Thou shalt surely find the most violent of all men in enmity against the true believers, to be the Jews, and the idolaters: And thou shalt surely find those among them to be the most inclinable to entertain friendship for the true believers, who say, we are Christians. This cometh to pass, because there are priests and monks among them; and because they are not elated with pride
Thou wilt surely find that the strongest in enmity against those who believe are the Jews and the idolaters; and thou wilt find the nearest in love to those who believe to be those who say, 'We are Christians;' that is because there are amongst them priests and monks, and because they are not proud
Of all men thou wilt certainly find the Jews, and those who join other gods with God, to be the most intense in hatred of those who believe; and thou shalt certainly find those to be nearest in affection to them who say, "We are Christians." This, because some of them are priests and monks, and because they are free from pride
You will assuredly find that the most hostile of people to the faithful are the Jews and the pagans; and you will assuredly find that the nearest in affection to the faithful are those who say: ‘We are Christians.‘ That is because there are priests and monks among them; and because they are free from pride
You will find that the people most hostile to the [Muslim] believers are [among] the [unfaithful] Jews and idolaters. Those nearest in friendship to the [Muslim] believers are [among] those who say, “We are Christians,” because some of these [Christians] are (scholarly leaders and devout parishioners) who are not arrogant.
You will find the most violently hostile people towards those who believe are the Jews and those who associate [others with Allah (God)]; while you will find the most affectionate of them towards those who believe, are those who say: "We are Christians." That is because some of them are priests and monks; they do not behave so arrogantly.
You will certainly find that, of all people, the most hostile to those who believe are the Jews, and those who associate partners with God; and you will certainly find that the nearest of them in affection to the believers are those who say, “We are Christians.†This is so because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not given to arrogance.
Among man, you will indeed find the Jews and the dualists (those engaged in shirq) as the most severe in animosity towards the believers... And you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians”... That is because among them (Christians) are men of deep knowledge and men who have renounced the world (submitted themselves wholly to Allah), who have no arrogance.
Certainly you will find the most hostile of people to those who believe are the Jews and pagans; and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe are those who say: ' We are Christians.' That is because there are among them priests and monks and because they do not behave proudly
You shall find O Muhammad the most avowed enemy to those who conformed their will to Allah’s will arc the Jews and those who incorporate with Allah other deities. And you shall find that the people who have a better disposition toward those who conformed their will to Allah’s will are those who are Christians. This is because among them, there are priests and monks who fear Allah and not extravagant in their accounts of themselves nor do they entertain inordinate self-esteem
You will definitely find the strongest in enemity among human beings, to those who believe, (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists; and you will definitely find the nearest in love to those who believe, (to be ) those who say, "We are Christians," that is because, among them are priests and monks and they do not consider themselves great.
Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant
